Lawyers and Me

 It all comes down to lawyers. I’m not going to say or do anything at all until I’m able to secure appropriate legal representation.

This blog provides me with a forum to share my music, films, writing, photographs and musings. Currently in absence of any product or project to promote it’s a great platform to connect with fans and friends after a too long twenty year hiatus. Flow of consciousness postings, seemingly disconnected sometimes, eventually make sense when viewed as a whole.

  I’m just saying    The original intent of this post is to address my kidnapping, robbery, and attempted murder on Yorkville Avenue in Toronto, which occurred on July 2, 2002, at 6:55 PM in broad daylight. I intend to delve into this event in great detail shortly. Regarding my book, whether it's memoirs or an autobiography, there's a lot to discuss in an overview before I delve into specifics. John Paul Young is a Canadian musician best known as the lead vocalist and keyboardist for the Toronto-based punk rock band Cardboard Brains, which he co-founded in 1976. The band was integral to Toronto’s Queen Street circuit, performing at venues like The Edge and The Horseshoe Tavern.  Cardboard Brains underwent several lineup changes during their active years. The original members included: • Vince Carlucci: Guitarist and vocalist • Paul O’Connell: Bassist • Richard Miller: Drummer Later additions to the band were: • Patrick Gregory: Bassist and vocalist • Mickel Keena: Drummer • Dave Richardson: Drummer • Rob Ross: Bassist In 1977, they released the “White EP,” featuring tracks like “I Wanna Be A Yank” and a cover of “(I’m Not Your) Stepping Stone.” This was followed by the “Black EP” in 1979, which showcased a shift towards a more New Wave sound.  The band also appeared in the 1978 concert documentary “The Last Pogo,” which captured the punk scene in Toronto during that ...

For years I suffered in silence at what had been done to me, always with the gnawing feeling that something indeed could be done about it. But just what remained elusive.There was the age old enigma: Everything in this world takes money. Sadly, Justice most of all takes money I have found through hard experiences. I was trapped in the cycle of poverty through no fault of my own. Once you’re trapped in the cycle of poverty often there’s no way out.
